Floyd Laurence Teetsel

Mr. Floyd Laurence Teetsel, 61 of Blackshear, passed away Wednesday morning, July 17, 2019 at Memorial Satilla Health Systems – Waycross.

Born in Catskill, NY on May 12, 1958, he had lived in Orlando, FL for several years before moving to Pierce County in 2001. A “Jack-of-all-Trades”, Mr. Teetsel had worked as a general contractor. He loved to tinker on his Harley motorcycle and on his van and enjoyed going to the beach and fishing. He loved being with his family was a proud Pop-pop.

He was the son of the late Elmer & Florence Teetsel. He was also preceded in death by a son, Danny Teetsel.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa Jordan Teetsel of Patterson; his daughter, Emily Harris (Joe Sweat) of Texas City, TX & Patterson; his son, Christopher Teetsel of Patterson; 3 grandchildren, Christian “Gadge” Sweat, Daniel Jordan, and Isabell Grace Sweat; his nieces and nephews that he helped raise, Adrian Proctor (Amber Allen and their children, Xavier & Nicholas), Ian Proctor, Caley Proctor (Meghan Doyle), and Tori Proctor (Daniel Garcia); his former wife, Debra Williams of Texas City; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

The family will have a celebration of life service for Mr. Teetsel on Saturday, August 3, 2019, at 3:00 o'clock at Laura Chapel Baptist Church.

Memorialization is by cremation.
