Mr. Faron Ralph Peacock, 62 of Blackshear, passed away Monday morning, April 27, 2020, at Memorial Satilla Health Systems.
Born in Blackshear, GA on January 13, 1958, he had lived in Pierce County most of his life. Faron was a 1976 graduate of Blackshear High School and had worked in construction prior to going to work for Gulf Stream where he had worked until becoming disabled. He had enjoyed fishing, playing cards and board games, and watching the Atlanta Braves. Faron was a former member of Emmanuel Baptist Church but was currently a member of Truth Tabernacle. He loved his church and church family (his favorite saying was “AMEN”), showing off his funny hats, and indulging his huge sweet tooth (he had a weakness for all kinds of candy).
He was a son of the late Ralph Clyde & Jeanette Roberts Peacock. He was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, John L. “Johnny” Sellers.
Survivors include his sister, Bridget Peacock Sellers of Brunswick; his brother, Charlie Peacock of Blackshear; his fiance’, Linda Bates of Blackshear; his special sister-in-law, Jerri O’Neal of Blackshear; his former wife and her daughters, Cheryl Christmas, Debbie Johnson, Dana Doyle, and Kandi Liddon all of Savannah; his nieces and nephews, Amanda Murray, Alise Hulsey, Charlie Peacock, Jr., Caleb Beverly, and Casey Peacock; and several other relatives and friends.
Due to COVID-19, the family will have a private graveside service for Faron on Wednesday, April 29, 2020, at the Blackshear Cemetery.
