Mrs. Eula Mae Manders Miller, 96, of Blackshear, passed away Saturday afternoon, October 10, 2020, at her residence.
Mrs. Miller was born on New Years Day, January 1, 1924, in Elijay, GA. She moved with her family from Gilmer County to Pierce County as a teenager, and lived the majority of her life in Pierce County. Eula Mae loved gardening and working with her flowers. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and cross word puzzles. She was a fantastic cook and everyone looked forward to her dumplings at the family reunions. The pot always went home empty. She was a member of the Bristol Baptist Church.
She was a daughter of the late William Henry and Beulah Mae West Manders. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Roscoe Miller; a son, Hubert “Buddy” Miller, Jr.; two sisters, Vera Norman, and Bernice Murray; and four brothers, Earl Manders, James Manders, Roy Manders, and Paul Manders.
Survivors include her four daughters and sons-in-law, Glenda (Randall) Rowell, and Carla Miller, all of Blackshear, Laura Jo (Lester) Landrum, and Ocie Mae Miller, all of Ft. Myers, FL; a son and daughter-in-law, Ralph (Frances) Miller of Blackshear; six sisters, Eunice Pittman of Indian Head, MD, Katie Goble of Blackshear, Catherine Carter of St. George, GA, Lucy Rodriguez of San Diego, CA, Susie Kurtz of Valdosta and Annette Manders of Atlanta; three brothers, Eugene (Lavenia) Manders of Waycross, Cecil (Norma Jean) Manders of Blackshear, Johnnie (Vernell) Manders of Waycross; 10 Grandchildren; numerous Great and Great, Great Grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services for Mrs. Miller will be held Wednesday afternoon, October 14, 2020, at 2 o’clock from the Pearson-Dial Chapel.
Interment will be in the Bristol Cemetery.
A Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, October 13, 2020 from 6:00 o’clock until 8:00 o’clock at the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home.
