Ellen Louise Hoffer Troutman, 94, of Blackshear, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2024, at her residence.
She was a native of Crestline, OH, born on January 13, 1929. She moved with her husband and children to Jacksonville, FL in 1967 then several years later moved to the Bristol/Blackshear area.
She was a waitress by profession, loved meeting new people, gardening, jigsaw puzzles, and spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred Hoffer and Helen Grubaugh Hoffer Climes; her step-father, Arnold Climes; her husband, Lloyd Everett Troutman; a daughter, Patricia Ann McFarland & four sons-in-law, Eddie McFarland, Dewaine Colley, Thomas Robinson, and George Touchton; two granddaughters, Barbie Jo McFarland and Tammie Lee Runnels; a great grandson, Brad Damian Nettles; a great granddaughter, Danyell Evett Reynolds; and all four of her brothers, Charles Hoffer (Clarabell), Glen Hoffer, Carl Hoffer (Carol), and Dale Hoffer (Josephine).
Survivors include her children, Carol Jean Colley of Blackshear, Linda Lou Robinson of Blackshear, Marie Annett Touchton of Florahome, FL, Robert A. & Barbara Troutman of Patterson, and Harold D. Troutman of Blackshear; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services for Mrs. Troutman will be held Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 4:00 o'clock from the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Aldridge officiating.
The family will be receiving friends at the chapel from 3 until 4 on Saturday.
Interment will be in the Bristol Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mrs. Troutman's grandsons: Glen Beck, Michael Cobb, David Robinson, Michael Touchton, Mark Touchton, Frank Touchton, Charles Troutman, and Jason Troutman.
