Mrs. Elizabeth Rose Cason Peacock, 71, of Blackshear, passed away Thursday afternoon, June 11, 2020, at her residence.
Born in Ware county, January 6, 1949, she had lived most of her life in Ware and Pierce counties. Elizabeth was a graduate of the Waycross Class of 1967. She retired from Atlantic Coast Bank in 2015. She enjoyed putting up vegetables and going out to eat with friends and family. She loved to travel and she especially loved the family annual summer beach vacations. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Blackshear, and her Faith Walkers Sunday school class. She was a loving wife and sister, but most of all she loved her Lord and Savior.
She was the daughter of the late Earlish Ward and Luvada Griffin Cason. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Prevatt.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Jerry Peacock of Blackshear; her brother Bill (Gwen) Cason of Blackshear; special friends, Glennis & Vicki Tyre of Blackshear; her special miniature Yorkie, Sebastian; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 14, 2020 at 3:00 o'clock from the Pearson-Dial Chapel.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in the Oakland cemetery.
