Mr. Edgar Carnell “Eddie” “Goatman” Teston, 67 of Patterson, passed away late Saturday night, August 8, 2020, at Memorial Satilla Health.
Born in Waycross, GA on October 8, 1952, he had lived in Pierce County for most of his life. Mr. Teston was a retired truck driver having worked in the logging and heavy equipment hauling business. He enjoyed fishing and keeping his yard mowed along with everyone else’s in the neighborhood. In his younger days he had enjoyed hunting and riding motorcycles. He was a loving husband and father but those grandchildren were the apples of his eyes. He always had advice to give them, whether they wanted to hear it or not, and wanted the best for them. Mr. Teston was a member of Patterson Baptist Church.
He was a son of the late Clayton & Lavada Morgan Teston. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Tim Teston and Ted Teston.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Anita Sapp Teston of Patterson; two daughters and a son-in-law, Dreama & Lewis Leggett and Melissa Cason all of Patterson; a son, Eddie C. Teston of Patterson; a brother and sister-in-law, Freddie “Possum” & Donna Teston of Patterson; 8 grandchildren, Brent Thornton, Jagger Leggett, Lewis Allen Leggett, Lane Taylor, Dalton Cason, Allen Cason, Ethan Teston (Ally O’Quinn), and Jaxson Harmon; 3 great grandchildren, Albree Taylor, Emmitt Teston, and Harper Deal; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services for Mr. Teston will be held Saturday morning, August 29, 2020, at 11:00 o’clock from the Patterson Baptist Church.
Entombment will be in the Offerman Cemetery.
Visitation for Mr. Teston will be held Friday evening from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.
