Dorothy Jean (Moreton) Gaskill

Mrs. Dorothy Jean Moreton Gaskill, 96 of Blackshear, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at Harborview - Pierce County.

Born in Indianapolis, IN on September 24, 1922, she had lived in Greenwood, IN for many years before moving to Pierce County in 1985.  Mrs. Gaskill was a former secretary for Pittsburgh Plate Glass and was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.  She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and will be fondly remembered as a wonderful mother who dearly loved her family.  She was also an animal lover and always had a pet dog.

She was the daughter of the late Harold & Evaleen Droste Moreton.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry Charles Gaskill; and by a son-in-law, Kenneth McAlpin.

Survivors include her daughter, Connie McAlpin; her son and daughter-in-law, Roger & Carmen Gaskill of Kokomo, IN; 6 grandchildren, Kenneth McAlpin, Christine McAlpin, Michael McAlpin, Kelly (Tom) Inderhees, Eric (Kelly) Gaskill, and Jenna (Chris) Ward; 8 great grandchildren, Maddox McAlpin, Haley Inderhees, Kasie Inderhees, Christopher Inderhees, Andrew Inderhees, Kannon Ward, Serenity Gaskill, and Ashton Gaskill; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A memorial mass will be held Saturday morning, July 20, 2019, at 11:00 o'clock from the St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

The family will receive friends at the church from 10:30 until 11.

A resurrection luncheon will be provided immediately following the service at the church.

Memorialization is by cremation.
