Donna Sue (Wilson) Stephens

Mrs. Donna Sue Wilson Stephens, 51 of Waycross, passed away Thursday morning, February 11, 2021 at Memorial Satilla Health.

Born in Waycross, GA on May 23, 1969, she was raised in Blackshear but had resided in Waycross since 1993.  Donna was a 1987 graduate of Pierce County High School and went on to graduate from Waycross College with her Associates Degree.  She had worked for Dan Spires Carpet as well as worked in retail over the years.  She enjoyed watching old movies, cooking, and traveling to the mountains and the beach. She loved spending time with her family and dearly loved her grandbabies.  Donna was a member of First Church of the Nazarene where she was the Worship and Praise leader.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Alexander Grayson Joyner. 

Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Barry Stephens of Waycross; three daughters and sons-in-law, Stephanie & James Brown of Cordele, Vanessa & Brock Joyner of Hoboken, and Chelsea & Justin Michtak of Blackshear; her son and daughter-in-law, B. J. & Cayley Stephens of Cordele; her parents, Jack & Katherine Foster Wilson of Blackshear; her sister, Teresa Wilson Ogle, husband Johnny, of Waycross; 9 grandchildren, Cameron, Samantha, Anthony, Leeann, Cason, Bryson, Caleb, L. J., & AdaLynn; a nephew, Garrett Wilson Ogle of Waycross; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

The family will have a private graveside service at the Ben James Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorials be made to Pearson-Dial Funeral Home to help offset funeral expenses.
