Donna Marie (Bowen) Miles

Ms. Donna Marie Bowen Miles, 63 of Blackshear, passed away Tuesday morning, April 27, 2021, at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville.

Born in Blackshear, GA on September 18, 1957, she had lived in Pierce County most of her life.  Ms. Miles was an LPN and had worked at Waycross Health and Rehabilitation for many years.  She was a member of Youmans Chapel Baptist Church and dearly loved her family and her dogs.

She was a daughter of the late Benjamin Royce & Beatrice Waunell Carter Bowen. 

Survivors include two sisters and a brother-in-law, Elaine Cordell of Heber Springs, AR and Jenny & Tony Crowder of Blackshear; her brother and sister-in-law, Ricky & Kay Bowen of Blackshear; three aunts, Lois Simmons and Aline Neiman both of Blackshear and Aldine Grushewsky of Nahunta; nieces and nephews, Ashli Cordell, Zachary Cordell, Cindy Bowen, Derrick Bowen, Frankie Bowen, Jessie Bowen, Amy Bowen, Brittany Bowen, Kristen Crowder, and Anthony Crowder; many great nieces and great nephews; and several other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Ms. Miles will be held Saturday afternoon, May 1, 2021, at 2:00 o’clock from the Pearson-Dial Chapel.

The family will receive friends at the chapel one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be in the Blackshear Cemetery.

Since Ms. Miles loved pets, memorials may be made to Rick and Nancy Allmon, 2988 Midway Church Road, Blackshear, GA  31516 to help with animal rescue.
