Don Andrew Landon

Mr. Don Andrew Landon, 67, of Screven, passed away Sunday afternoon, June 28, 2026, at Memorial University Health in Savannah.

Born in Blackshear, GA on August 6, 1958, he lived in Wayne and Pierce Counties all his life.  Mr. Landon was a carpenter who worked very hard at his job.  In his spare time, he liked to fish, build bird houses, ride the back roads of Wayne County, listen to rock and roll music, collect vintage cars, and ride his dirt bike.  He also loved gardening and watching westerns.  Mr. Landon was of the Baptist faith. 

He was a son of the late Otis “Doc” George & Barbara Jean Cason Landon, Jr.  He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Christina Eugina Landon; a sister, Debra Mansfield; his brother, Dan Landon; and his significant other, Linda Aspinwall.

Survivors include his daughters, Shannan (Bert) Earhardt of Brunswick and Brandy (Matthew) Fail of Screven; two sisters, Janet Peacock of Blackshear and Patricia (Mitch) Rogers of Jesup; 4 grandchildren, Jaydon (Magen) Sapp, Desmond (Emily) Sapp, Michale Fail, and Bryant Fail; 4 great grandchildren, Kolton Sapp, Lainey Grace Sapp, Micah Fail, and Emberlynn Fail; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services for Mr. Landon will be held Wednesday morning, July 1, 2026, at 11:00 o’clock from the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Lightsey officiating.

The family will be receiving friends at the chapel one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be in the Offerman Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Jaydon Sapp, Desmond Sapp, Michael Fail, Bryant Fail, Bert Earhardt, and Matthew Fail.
