Mr. Don Allen King, Jr., 31, of Blackshear, passed away late Saturday evening, January 27, 2024, at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross.
Born in Waycross, GA on August 16, 1992, he lived in Pierce County all his life. Mr. King was a 2010 graduate of Pierce County High School. He worked in the logging business for a while before going into construction. A true country boy at heart, he loved being outdoors fishing, hunting, or just riding dirt roads but his favorite thing to do was spend time with his daughter.
He was the son of the late Don Allen King, Sr. and Janet Tatum King. He was also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mary Hickox, step-grandfather, Harold Hickox, and John C. Tatum.
Survivors include his daughter, Kenzlee Michelle King of Blackshear; his aunt, Nola Sweat of Alma; his uncles, Joe Tatum of Blackshear, and Tony Tatum of Monroe County; cousins, Joseph Lee Tatum of Blackshear, Lynn Tatum of Forsyth, Nicky Tatum of Forsyth, and Mary Ann Cleveland of Forsyth; and several other relatives and friends.
The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Friday morning, February 2, 2024, from 9 until 11 o’clock.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
Memorials may be made to the funeral home to help the family with the funeral expenses.
