Mrs. Deloris Diane Christopher Bennett, 44, of Blackshear, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at her residence.
Born in Waycross, GA on November 12, 1979, she lived in Pierce County all her life. Deloris attended Pierce County High School. She worked at the King and Prince on St. Simons Island as well as an exterminator in Brunswick and was currently employed with Carter’s Fried Chicken in Blackshear where she was a cook. Deloris enjoyed family gatherings. She loved being outdoors, especially going to the river. Deloris had a green thumb and loved tending to plants and gardening. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was a daughter of the late George William & Gwendolyn Ruth Norman Christopher.
Survivors include her daughter, Lexi Bennett of Blackshear; her son, Dalton Bennett of Blackshear; two sisters, Mellisa (Bryan) Hayes of Blackshear and Christie Moody of Midway; a brother, George “Bill” (Christie) Christopher, Jr. of Blackshear; a grandson, Jaxon Gardner; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Visitation for Deloris will be held Monday evening, May 13, 2024, from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
