Mr. David Earl Sharpe, Jr., 36 of Donaldsonville (formerly of Mershon), passed away Monday, November 1, 2021, at his residence.
Born in Blackshear, GA on October 19, 1985, he had lived in Pierce County most of his life until moving to Donaldsonville a little over a year ago. Mr. Sharpe was employed with Trees Unlimited as a tree trimmer but had previously worked in construction. He loved fishing, playing his guitar and listening to music. He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Sharpe was a son of the late David Earl & Debra Gail Eason Sharpe, Sr. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Macie Rae Griffin; a son, Brenson Earl Jernigan; and a sister, Brenda Gail Shape.
Survivors include his wife, Beth Jernigan Sharpe of Donaldsonville; three daughters and a son-in-law, Maggie & Jamie Mackey of Blackshear, Maceyla Victoria Griffin of Waycross, and Vallory Robin Stokes of Donaldsonville; two sons, Nathan Gage Sharpe of Blackshear, and Matthew Zane Sharpe of Donaldsonville; his sister and brother-in-law, Ann & Andy Roberson of Mershon; his brother and sister-in-law, Jerome & Nikki Sharpe of Mershon; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Ophelia Sharpe of Mershon; a grandson, Daniel Mackey; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A memorial service for Mr. Sharpe will be held Thursday afternoon, November 4, 2021, at 2:00 o’clock from the Pearson-Dial Chapel.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
