Daniel Len Strickland

Mr. Daniel Len Strickland, 58, of Blackshear, passed away Friday morning, August 25, 2023, at his residence.

Born in Homerville, GA on August 1, 1965, he was raised in Blackshear before moving away for several years but had been back in South GA for the last four years.  He enjoyed woodworking, especially the laser imprinting on his projects.  When he wasn’t outside enjoying the weather, he could be found inside watching the ION Channel.  He loved singing with his wife and spending time with his family, but most of all, he loved his Lord and Savior.

He was the son of the late Lloyd Eugene and Lizzie Pearl Underwood Strickland.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lita Elaine Whitfield Strickland, and a brother, Mitchell Strickland.

Survivors include three daughters, Shelly Strickland and Amber Strickland, both of Blackshear, and Kayla Strickland, of Waycross; a son, Jared Strickland (Heather Haislip) of Wixon, MI; a sister, Teri (Dan) Duso of Bay City, MI; three brothers, Henry (Karen) Strickland, of Gwinnett Co, GA, Lonnie (Alice) Strickland, of Winder, GA, and Dennis Strickland, of Monroe, GA; the mother and step-mother of his children, Teresa Evener, of Blackshear; ten grandchildren, Jesse Conger, Hailey Critcher, Emiley Critcher, Chloe Strickland, Olivia Strickland, Emilie Strickland, Edward Strickland, Isaiah Scott, Bailie Scott, and Alyssa Strickland; one great-grandchild; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A Memorial Service for Mr. Strickland will be held Sunday, September 24, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Laura S. Walker Park, Shelter #3.  Family and friends are welcome; you may also bring a side dish or drinks.
