Mrs. Dana Elizabeth Rewis Sellers, 52 of Hortense, passed away Wednesday morning, September 29, 2021, at Southeast Georgia Health Systems in Brunswick.
Born in Alma, GA on January 8, 1969, she had lived in Brantley County most of her adult life. Mrs. Sellers was a graduate of Okefenokee Technical College’s LPN Program and over the years had worked for the hospitals in Brunswick and Waycross. She had most recently worked for Georgia Nurse Care in Brunswick until she had to retire due to her health. Mrs. Sellers enjoyed many things in life including going to church (Living River Church of God in Blackshear) and reading her Bible. She had also enjoyed working with her flowers, sitting in her swing taking pictures of the beautiful South Georgia sunsets, going fishing, and watching Netflix – a lot.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Kenneth Sellers.
Survivors include her husband of 29 years, Gregory “Greg” Sellers of Hortense; two daughters, Nikki Sellers and Lexi Sellers both of Hortense; two sons, Chris (Corey Lee) Harper of Dublin and Hunter (Donna) Sellers of Ft. Campbell, KY; her parents, Patsy Walsh Thorne of Haddock, GA and Jimmy (Montene) Rewis of Baxley; two sisters, Renay Ashcroft of Nicholls and Tina (Joel) Norsworthy of Haddock; a brother, David (Melanie) Rewis of Hazlehurst; 2 granddaughters, Gracie Harper and Ella Harper; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services for Mrs. Sellers will be held Saturday morning, October 2, 2021, at 11:00 o’clock at the Pearson-Dial Chapel.
Visitation for Mrs. Sellers will be held Friday evening from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.
Interment will be in the Laura Chapel Cemetery.
