D. Waunelle (Lovell) Holloway

Mrs. D. Waunelle Lovell Holloway, 81 of Patterson, passed away Thursday morning, March 10, 2022, at her residence.

Born in Alma, GA on September 11, 1940, she had lived in Pierce County all of her life.  Mrs. Holloway was a homemaker and loved fishing, being outdoors doing gardening, sewing, and doing puzzles.  She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church where she was in the Ladies Sunday school class.  Mrs. Holloway was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be dearly missed.

She was the daughter of the late Henry Gordon and Lessie Lillian Howell Lovell.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lamar Holloway; a sister, Brenda Lovell; and two brothers, Waylon Lovell and Winfree Lovell.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda (Buck) Cooper and Kim Kirkland all of Patterson; her son, Danny (Linda) Hollaway of Blackshear; two sisters, Wilma Hale and Glenda (Cotton) Durrance all of Blackshear; a brother, Wallace Lovell of Richardson, TX; 6 grandchildren, Dale (Jerrod) Gardner, Kimberly (Pete) Tyo, Buck (Julie) Cooper, Gina Hollaway, William (Brittany) Kirkland, and Spencer Kirkland (fiancé, Leanna Cox); 7 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services for Mrs. Holloway will be held Saturday afternoon, March 12, 2022, at 2:00 o’clock from the Pine Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Adam Walker officiating.

The family will be receiving friends at the church one hour prior to the service for visitation.

Interment will be in the Laura Chapel Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Buck Cooper, William Kirkland, Spencer Kirkland, Austen Cooper, Ethan Gardner, and Sam Gardner.
