Mrs. Cynthia Moureen “Cindy” Chidsey Farmer, 64, of Blackshear, passed away early Friday morning, September 18, 2020, at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross.
Mrs. Farmer was born in Mt. Holly, NJ on September 17, 1956. Cindy moved from NJ to Pierce County in the late 80’s. She was a friendly, tender hearted person who always put others above herself. She had a great sense of humor and loved cutting the grass on her zero turn lawnmower and playing Candy Crush. She operated Nannys Day Care for many years. She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church. She loved reading her bible and talking about Jesus. Her family was very important to her and she will be greatly missed.
She was a daughter of the late Bruce and Bernadette Stevens Chidsey. She was also preceded in death by her son George McClaskey; and her sister Colleen Chidsey.
Survivors include her husband of 22 years, Paul Farmer of Blackshear; a daughter and son-in-law, Larissa (Steven) Smith of Waycross; two sisters, Eileen (Peter) Martin, and Kathleen (Pat) Jacobson both of New Castle, CO; two brothers, Bruce E. (Margaret) Chidsey of Mt. Laurel, NJ and Sean (Heidi) Chidsey of Santa Clarita, CA; 4 grandchildren, Sebastian Strickland, Vera Strickland (James Davis), Mallory (Daniel) Jones, and Zayden Smith; 1 great grandchild, Heidi Jones; Several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at the Faith Baptist Church on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at 11:00 o'clock.
Interment will be in the Blackshear City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 from 9:00 o’clock a.m. until service time at 11:00 o’clock.
