Curtis Moore, III Obituary

Mr. Curtis William Moore, III, 68, of Waycross, passed away Friday, February 7, 2020, at his residence.
 
Born in Augusta, GA on April 6, 1951, he had lived in Ware County most of his life.  Mr. Moore was a 1969 graduate of Waycross High School.  Following his high school graduation, he enlisted in the US Marines serving during the Vietnam conflict and was awarded the Purple Heart.  After serving four years in the Marines Mr. Moore enrolled in college and received his Associates Degree.  He would end up attending dentistry school.  The majority of his working career was in sales – Car Sales and Mobile Home Sales – but he had also worked for Sears Pest Control for about 5 years. Mr. Moore enjoyed hunting and fishing and having his family and friends around.  He was a true coffee lover and a cigar aficionado.   He was of the Baptist faith.
  
He was the only son of the late Curtis William, Jr. & Rudell H. Smith Moore.  He was also preceded in death by a former wife, Janice Moore.
 
Survivors include his three sons, Curtis William Moore, IV (Sarah Chase) of Waycross, Christopher M. “Chris” Moore of Alma, and C. Wyatt Moore of Jamestown; four sisters, Sheila (Hershel) Mayfield of Tallasee, AL, Sandra (Tommy) Dill of Blackshear, Shirley (K. R.) Fulford of Waycross, and Sharon (Maurice) Thornton of Hoboken; his former wife, Sherryl Bullard of Douglas; 6 grandchildren, Brandon Moore, Carla Bullard, Sky Bullard, Savannah Deal, Zachary Chase, and Curtis W. Moore, V; 2 great grandchildren, Caden Moore and Conner Moore; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
   
The family will have a memorial service at a later date.
 
Memorialization will be by cremation.
