Cheryl Patricia Barnes

Ms. Cheryl Patricia "Sherry" Roney Barnes, 51, passed away Tuesday evening, June 11, 2019, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born in Philadelphia, PA on July 24, 1967, Sherry had lived in Pierce County since the late 1980's. She was a Certified Pharmacy Technician and had worked for Eckerds Pharmacy. She was attending Remnant Church, but had also attended the Baptist and the Roman Catholic church at one time.

Survivors include her two sons, Bryant K. Barnes, II and Taylor Barnes both of Athens, GA; parents, Harry and Darcile Roney of Blackshear; a sister, Tracey Bullard of Tallahassee; the father of her children, Bryant Barnes, Sr. of Blackshear; an aunt, Sissy Tolbert of Monticello, FL; and uncle, Corbitt (Opal) Carter of Blackshear; and numerous other relatives.


A visitation for Ms. Barnes will be held Friday evening, June 14, 2019, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home.

Memorialization is by Cremation.

Memorials may be made to the St. Joseph's Catholic Church CCW, 2011 Darling Avenue, Waycross, GA 31501.
