Miss Cara Leigh Sharpe, 34 of Waycross, passed away early Friday morning, June 26, 2020, at her residence.
Born in Blackshear, GA on July 15, 1985, she had lived in Pierce and Ware Counties all of her life. Cara was a 2003 graduate of Pierce County High School and went on to obtain her Licensed Practical Nurse degree from Okefenokee Technical College in 2011. She had worked in housekeeping at Memorial Satilla Health but had also worked in customer service and sales over the years. At the time of her passing, Cara was employed with Subway in Waycross. Riding around, going to the beach, swimming, listening to music, photography, and fishing were some of her favorite things to do. She loved her children dearly and enjoyed being with family and friends.
She was a daughter of the late Carroll & Cynthia Paulette Thompson Sharpe. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Chadrianna Williams; and by a grandchild, Britian Taylor.
Survivors include the love of her life, Chad Williams of Waycross; her son, Chad “C.J.” Williams, Jr. of Waycross; four daughters, Brittany Youmans, Jordan Watson, and Dy’Mariana Munson all of Waycross and Kaley (Louis) Williams of Murray, KY; a sister and brother-in-law, Misty & Billy Davis of Blackshear; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill & Missy Sharpe and Shaun & Suzanne Allen all of Alma; 5 grandchildren with one on the way; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services for Cara will be held Friday afternoon, July 3, 2020, at 2:00 o’clock from the Pearson-Dial Chapel.
The family will visit with friends immediately following the service.
Interment will be in the Bristol Cemetery.
