Caleb Squires Obituary

Mr. Caleb Joshua “Lubbers” Squires, 18, of Blackshear, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at Orange Park Medical Center, Orange Park, FL.

Born in Hudson, NY on July 22, 2002, he moved to Pierce County five years ago.  Caleb had a deep belly laugh that was contagious. He had a loving personality that touched everyone he met. He was part of the Red Dead 2 Gaming Community and was quite popular and respected with his gaming friends. He was of the Catholic faith. Because of Caleb’s thoughts about organ donation, three recipients will live and Caleb’s memory will also live on.

Survivors include his mother, Evelyn Colon of Blackshear; his three sisters and brother-in-law, Josie (Justin) Dudley of Middleburg, NY, Kayla Hull of Gainesville, FL, and Alley Squires of Blackshear; his brother, Andrew Squires of Blackshear; his three uncles, Jerry (Barb) Squires of East Durham, NY, Kenny (Nora) Squires of North Carolina, and Steve (Mary) Squires of Albany, NY; his god parents, CoCo & Lala Dewald of Ashland, NY; and numerous other relatives, cousins and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Squires will be held Saturday, October 10, 2020, at 3:00 o’clock from the Pearson-Dial Chapel.

Interment will be in the Waters Cemetery. There will be a celebration of life, after the interment, at his mother's home, 2201 Screven Avenue, Blackshear.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home two hours prior to the service.

Due to COVID-19, social distancing and the use of facemasks are strongly encouraged.
