Bobby Gustene "Booger" Strickland

Mr. Bobby Gustene “Booger” Strickland, 64 of Patterson, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at his residence.

Born in Jesup, GA on October 31, 1957, he had lived in Pierce County all his life.  Mr. Strickland was in the logging business working for Wall’s Timber.  He could fix anything and loved to play pool, logging, and nature.  He also loved Elvis which is ironic seeing as how he passed away on the same day as Elvis. 

He was a son of the late Ray Gene “Bull” & Betty Thornton Strickland. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Smith Strickland.

Survivors include his son, Nick Strickland (Rhiannon Williams) of Offerman; four sisters, Angela Strickland, Roxanne (Benji) Davis, and Donna Gill all of Offerman, and Tonya (Danny) Parker of North Carolina; two brothers, Ray Gene Strickland, Jr. of Offerman and Tony (Amanda) Guy of North Carolina; a granddaughter, Bristyl Strickland; his step-mother, Beulah Strickland of Blackshear; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services for Mr. Strickland will be held Saturday morning, August 20, 2022, at 11:00 o’clock from the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Matt Smith officiating.

Interment will be in the Offerman Cemetery.

Visitation for Mr. Strickland will be held Friday evening from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.
