Ms. Beverly Ann Strickland Dixon, 65 of Blackshear, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2020, at Memorial Satilla Health Systems.
Born in Blackshear, GA on August 23, 1954, she had lived in Pierce County all of her life. Ms. Dixon had worked as a clerk at different convenience stores as well as having worked at local sewing factories over the years but had spent the past few years being a homemaker. She enjoyed painting and working in her yards and like to collect all sorts of little trinkets. Ms. Dixon was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She was a daughter of the late Daniel Beal Strickland and Nell Jean Boyette Strickland Tuten. She was also preceded in death by a son, Charles Wesley Martin.
Survivors include her two sons and daughters-in-law, Mike & Gina Martin and Daniel & Selina Driggers all of Blackshear; three sisters, Gloria (Jessie) Trull of Hoboken, Jeannie Tuten of Offerman, and Jeannett (Scott) Eunice of Hoboken; 8 grandchildren, Sebastian (Brooke) Martin, Meghan (Aaron) Johns, Dakota Martin, Kalie (Devin) Minchew, Julie (James) Reid, Kyler Wade, Robert Driggers, and Preston Driggers; 8 great grandchildren, Lucas Howard, Chloe Johns, Spencer Johns, Brantley Minchew, Cason Minchew, Hudson Johns, Millie Martin, and Reagan Reid; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A memorial service for Ms. Dixon will be held Tuesday morning, August 18, 2020, at 10:00 o’clock from the Rehobeth Baptist Church with Rev. Phil Jordan officiating.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
The family is receiving friends at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mike & Gina Martin, at 1342 Clifford Loop, Blackshear, today (Sunday) beginning at 5 pm and also on Monday, August 17th, beginning at 5 pm.
