Ms. Betty Lou Conner, 72, of Blackshear, passed away Sunday morning, October 15, 2023, at her residence.
Born in Callahan, FL on September 11, 1951, she had lived in Callahan for several years before moving to Pierce County in 1985. While in Florida, Ms. Conner worked at the Alligator Farm as well as Western Auto. When she moved to Blackshear, she cleaned homes and doctor’s offices for several people/businesses prior to working at Emmanuel Baptist Church cooking for their school and other functions. Ms. Conner enjoyed coloring, doing crossword puzzles, and gardening. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and so enjoyed being with her church family when she was able.
She was a daughter of the late Stewart & Mildred Cheshire Conner. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Smith.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Wendy & Jesse Gutierrez of Katy, TX, and Lisa & Kenny Beckham and Belinda & Eric Moody all of Blackshear; her son and daughter-in-law, Daniel & Christina Waters of Upatoi, GA; 12 grandchildren, Jesse, Victoria, Sierra, Christian, Dominick, Ella, Trey, Cassie, Conner, Leeria, Andrew, and Kimberly; 2 great grandchildren, Dylan and Adelynn; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services for Ms. Conner will be held Friday afternoon, October 20, 2023, at 3:00 o’clock from the Pearson-Dial Chapel with Rev. Mike Stone officiating.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home chapel one hour prior to the service.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
