Beth (Allen) Marr Neville

Mrs. Beth Allen Marr Neville, 80 of Blackshear, passed away Thursday morning, December 9, 2021, the Harborview – Satilla Nursing Home.

Born in Blackshear, GA on April 8, 1941, she had lived in Pierce County most of her life.  Mrs. Beth had worked for the Pierce County Board of Education for many years as well as worked at Waycross College – both as a bookkeeper.  From 1984-1997 she owned and operated the Miz Beth Day Care – a career she thoroughly enjoyed. When she was able, Mrs. Beth had loved to go to garage sales and flea markets, to travel, and to eat out at good restaurants. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

She was a daughter of the late Styles Booth & Ethel Murrel Harrison Allen.  She was also preceded in death by her first husband, John Spencer “Big John” Marr; her second husband, Dave Neville; a step-daughter, Mary Alice Marr; a daughter-in-law, Dianne Hubbard; both of her sisters, Joan Gardner and Helen Ward; and an infant brother.

Survivors include her son, Robert (Jayne) Hubbard of Blackshear; her step-daughter, Christy (Kurt) Hawkins of Blackshear; a step-son, Michael (Penny) Neville of San Antonio, TX; 3 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services for Mrs. Beth will be held Saturday morning, December 11, 2021, at 11:00 o’clock from the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will be in the Blackshear Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the chapel one hour prior to the service.
