Mrs. Bertha Mae “Pat” Willoughby Marsh, 87 of Patterson, passed away Thursday, May 6, 2021, at her residence.
Born in Dayton, OH on June 27, 1933, she had lived in Ohio for many years before moving to Pierce County in 1973. Mrs. Marsh had been a housewife and dedicated mother to her six children prior to going to work at RESA in Waycross where she worked as a typist for over 30 years. She loved to work in her yard and took great pride in it. Mrs. Marsh was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and was the greatest mother-in-law. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was a daughter of the late Herbert & Margery Hall Willoughby. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lee Eugene “Gene” Marsh; a son-in-law, Buddy Kerrick; a granddaughter, Abby Patterson; two sisters, Alice and Jenny; and both of her brothers, William “Bill” and Herbert, Jr.
Survivors include two daughters, Deborah (Henry) Baxley of Patterson and Teresa Kerrick of Vanceboro, NC; four sons, Ronald Eugene (Deborah) Marsh of Hillsboro, OH, Gary Lee (Chin) Marsh of St. Petersburg, FL, and George (Debbie) Marsh and Glenn Eric Marsh all of Patterson; a sister, Gloria (Caleb) Warner of Ohio; 12 grandchildren, Tammy, Tracy, Justin, Spencer, Jamie, Anthony, Ian, Amanda, Brian, Heather, Stevie, and Tasha; numerous great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services for Mrs. Marsh will be held Wednesday afternoon, May 12, 2021, at 1:00 o’clock from the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will have a visitation for Mrs. Marsh on Tuesday evening, May 11, 2021 from 6 until 8 o’clock at the funeral home.
Interment will be in the Laura Chapel Cemetery.
