Mrs. Beatrice Farmer Melton, 70 of Brantley County, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2022, at her residence.
Born in Burlington, North Carolina on August 7, 1951, she had lived all of her life in Ware & Brantley counties. Mrs. Melton enjoyed gardening and cooking. She loved her family and spending time with them. She also loved riding dirt roads – so much that she is probably riding dirt roads in Heaven with her husband.
She was a daughter of the late Robert & Leila Spikes Farmer. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Charlton Eugene Melton; and all of her siblings, Coralee Harvey, Nancy Horne, Catharine “Cookie” McCarthy, William Farmer, and Jimmy Farmer.
Survivors include two daughters, Charlotte Weeks (John) of Fernandina Beach, FL and Angela Melton of Waycross; one son, David Melton of Waycross; 6 grandchildren, Justin Weeks, Megan (Sean) Farley, Mitchell Melton, Aaron Greene, Alise Greene, and Leenie (Trey) Nees; 7 great grandchildren, Anna Melton, Harley Melton, Kolby Mendoza, Casey Jorgensen, Kade Jorgensen, Cadance Maine, and Trinity Daniels; a sister-in-law, Rhonda Farmer of Yulee and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
The family will celebrate Mrs. Melton’s life at a later time.
Memorialization is by cremation.
