Barbara Jean (Taylor) Green

Barbara Jean Taylor Green passed away Sunday, July 3, 2022, at Harborview Satilla in Waycross GA after an extended illness.

 She was born in Waycross, GA on January 22, 1961, and had lived there most of her life. Mrs. Green was a 1979 graduate of WCHS. She had worked as a CNA, as an AT&T customer service representative, as well as with Flash Foods, & Security Finance. Mrs. Green loved the beach & to travel and had taken care of many loved ones throughout the years.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Desso & Arrie Mae (Greene) Hersey of Waycross; her paternal grandparents, Randall & Louise (Lynn) Taylor of Offerman; her mother, Vivian Lee Hersey Taylor; her father, William “Billy” Taylor; & a brother, Alan Desso Taylor, Sr., all of Waycross.

She is survived by her husband, George “Shad” Green of Paintsville, KY; a daughter, Lora Mae Green of Waycross; a son, Jonathan Trey Green of Waycross; a sister, Sandy Taylor (Timmy) Corbitt of Waycross; four brothers, Wesley Taylor of Jacksonville, FL, Tony (Theresa) Taylor and Jason (Lynada) Taylor all of Blackshear, and Andy Taylor of Waycross; an aunt, Margaret Hersey Godfrey of Fleming Island, FL; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will be holding a celebration of life service at Men of The Way, 6195 Carter Dr, Offerman (GA), 31556, on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at 1:00 PM.
