Mrs. Barbara Ann Easterling Courson, 77 of Blackshear, passed away Wednesday morning, August 10, 2022, at the Baptist Village Nursing Home.
Born in Brunswick, GA on August 13, 1944, she had lived in Wisconsin for many years before moving to Pierce County in the early 90’s. Mrs. Courson was a homemaker. She enjoyed flowers and always wanted to be able to smell them. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be dearly missed.
She was a daughter of the late Jake Sheldon Easterling and Nell Geiger Easterling. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Courson; a son, Mitchell Ray Courson; and her sister, Betty Harris.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Johnny Wayne Courson of Blackshear; her daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer & Shawn Williams of Tampa; her brother and sister-in-law, John & Mary Easterling of Virginia; 2 grandchildren, Brandon Leavitt and Justin Leavitt; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Graveside services for Mrs. Courson will be held Friday morning, August 12, 2022, at 11:00 o’clock from the Shady Grove Cemetery with Elder Theron Gill officiating.
