Barbara (Courson) Bullard

Mrs. Barbara Courson Bullard, 64 of Patterson, passed away late Saturday evening, June 11, 2022, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Born in Screven, GA on September 10, 1957, she had lived in Pierce County most of her life.  Mrs. Bullard was a homemaker and was a member of New Life Assembly of God.  She was a big prayer warrior and would pray for anyone who asked for it.  She loved sewing, doing crafts, baking, and putting puzzles together.  Mrs. Bullard was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. 

She was a daughter of the late John Edward Courson.  She was also preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Anaiya Journell; and a sister, Anita Courson.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Garry H. Bullard, Sr. of Patterson; her daughter, Michell (Daniel) Cason of Jacksonville; two sons, Garry H. (Shannon) Bullard, Jr. of Patterson and Spencer Bullard (Raigan Streat) of Hortense; her mother, Una Vee Thornton Courson of Blackshear; her sister, Sylvia (Dannie) Spivey of Dixie Union; 8 grandchildren, Jonathan Bullard (Cassie Lee), Brittany Bullard (Mason Horton), Nicholas Bullard, Destiny (Joe) Prince, Simon Sheys (Jade Williams), Caleb (Kendall) Cason, Joshua Cason, and T. J. Bullard; 6 great grandchildren, Asher Gray Horton, Dautry Blaze Bullard, Elizabeth Michelle Prince, Ryleigh Cason, Liam Cason, and Tahlon Cason; 2 more great grandchildren due soon; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bullard will be held Wednesday afternoon, June 15, 2022, at 3:00 o’clock from the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will be in the Laura Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home chapel one hour prior to the service.
