Mrs. Sarah Queen Gill Dyal, 87 of Waycross, passed away Thursday evening, December 19, 2019, at her residence.
Born in Offerman, GA on January 25, 1932, she had lived in Ware County most of her life. Mrs. Dyal had worked as a roller at King Edward Cigar for many years. She was a member of Oak Grove Primitive Baptist Church and enjoyed doing different crafts like quilting, crocheting, and sewing pillows. Mrs. Dyal had also loved to sing, read Louis L’amour books, do puzzles, and can vegetables.
She was a daughter of the late Daniel Robert & Ethel Elma Little Gill. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Preston Dyal; two daughters, Joyce Yvonne Conley and Sarah Jean Dyal; and six brothers, Nolan, Elbert, Gerald, Dan, Linwood, and John D. Gill.
Survivors include two daughters, Tammy Hickox of Waycross and Patricia Watson of Blackshear; two sisters, Josephine Floyd and Eleanor Melton both of Blackshear; four brothers, Robert (Brenda) Gill, James Theron (Linda) Gill, Franklin D. “Buck” (Wanda) Gill, and Ray (Glenda) Gill all of Blackshear; 8 grandchildren, James Conley, Jr., John Conley, Dustin Watson, Lance Watson, Winston Hall, Kelly Hall, Charles Clos, III, and Joeleen Hickox; 16 great grandchildren; two special friends, Jody Hickox and Samantha Schuyler both of Waycross; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services for Mrs. Dyal will be held Sunday morning, December 22, 2019, at 11 o’clock from the Enon Primitive Baptist Church.
Interment will be in the Enon Cemetery.
Visitation for Mrs. Dyal will be held Saturday evening from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.
