Robert "Bob" Eugene Moore

Mr. Robert Eugene “Bob” Moore, 72 of Blackshear, passed away early Friday morning, November 29, 2019, at the Hospice Satilla Hospice House.
 
Born in Fort Wayne, IN on May 4, 1947, he had lived in Indiana for many years before moving to Pierce County in the 90’s.  Mr. Moore was a US Army veteran having served during the Vietnam conflict.  He graduated from a technical school with honors with a degree in Surgical Technology and went on to retire as a brick mason.  While in Indiana he had been in law enforcement, was a fire chief and volunteer in the Spencerville Township Fire Department.  He loved to tell a joke and enjoyed playing the guitar, and hunting and fishing.
 
He was a son of the late Glenn Franklin & Betty Jean Longbrake Moore.
 
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Linda Diane Davis Moore of Blackshear; his daughter and son-in-law, Penny & Michael Conway of New Haven, IN; his son, Ricky Moore of Blackshear; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Deloris & Levi Davis of Bowling Green, KY and Cheryl Sue & Denny Zieloft of Auburn, IN; his brother, Donald Lee Moore of Ft. Wayne, IN; 5 grandchildren, Brittany (Andrew) Halferty, Brandon Beachy, Dallas Justus, Skyler Justus, and Dominic Conway; 3 great grandchildren, Hayden Beachy, Aclainde Halferty, and Lorelai Halferty; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
  
Funeral services for Mr. Moore will be held Saturday afternoon, December 7, 2019, at 5:00 o’clock from the Pearson-Dial Chapel.
 
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 until 5 Saturday afternoon.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
