Jonathan Jasper Kirkland

Mr. Jonathan Jasper Kirkland,29 of Blackshear, passed away Thursday morning, May 2, 2019, at his residence.

Born in Fitzgerald, GA on May 21, 1989, he had lived in Pierce County for the last 8 years. Jonathan had worked for Palmetto Industrial as a cleaning technician and loved to fish in his spare time. He was a very bright and smart young man who had a big heart and loved to help others. He attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints - Waycross Ward.

He was preceded in death by a brother, William Ike Kirkland; and by an aunt, Judy Ann Richardson.

Survivors include his daughter, Aubree LeAnn Payne of Sylvester; his son, William Edwin Kirkland of Jesup; his mother, Mary Ann Jordan Britt of Albany; his father, John Edwin Kirkland of Blackshear; maternal grandparents, Marion & Ikie Steverson of Fitzgerald; several aunts and uncles, Pam (Glenn) Taylor and Bobbie Jean (Lacy) Hogan all of Fitzgerald, Barbara Kennedy of Moultrie, Donna (Wayne) Hogan of Cordele, Teddy (Leona) Jordan of Brunswick, Harley Jordan of Fitzgerald, Shirley Eagerton, and Eddie Kirkland both of Blackshear; and several other relatives and friends.

Graveside services for Jonathan will be held Monday afternoon, May 6, 2019, at 3:00 o'clock from the Shiloh Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the graveside one hour prior to the service.
