Mr. Curtis Neil Howard, 63, of Blackshear, passed away Sunday morning, December 29, 2019, at his residence following a sudden illness.
Born in Waycross on September 16, 1956, he had lived in Ware & Pierce Counties all of his life. Mr. Howard was a 1976 graduate of Waycross High School and had worked as a painter for most of his life. He loved watching sports, especially the Georgia Bulldogs. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was a son of the late Dorothy Hail Howard. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Dorinda Strickland; and a brother, Linton Howard, Jr.
Survivors include his father, Linton Howard, Sr. of Blackshear; his sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis & Robert Dixon of Waycross; a niece, Barbara Dixon of Waycross; three nephews, Raymond (Kisha) Howard of Thompsonville, IL, Hunter Strickland of Waycross, and Walker Howard of Brunswick; his three great nieces, Sarabeth, Abbygale, and Peyton; and several other relatives.
A memorial service will be held at the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at 11:00 o'clock.
Memorialization is by Cremation.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
