Cheryl Louise (Zufelt) Crawford

Mrs. Cheryl Louise Zufelt Crawford, 70 of Waycross, GA (Brantley County), passed away early Saturday morning, November 23, 2019, at her residence.
 
Born in Knoxville, TN on June 4, 1949, she had lived in Jacksonville, FL for several years before moving to the Ware/Brantley area in 1974.  Mrs. Crawford was a 1966 graduate of Ribault High School.  She also obtained her cosmetology degree while in Florida and attended Waycross-Ware Tech in Waycross.  She had worked as a clerk at several convenient and grocery stores in the area the last being Lairsey’s in Blackshear.  Mrs. Crawford enjoyed crocheting, cooking for her grandchildren, and being with her family.  She was of the Baptist faith.
 
She was a daughter of the late Reid Milan Zufelt & Loretta Delores Jones Zufelt.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Julian Crawford; and all three of her brothers, David Zufelt, Ted Zufelt, and Jerry Zufelt.
 
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa & Tracy Davis of Waycross, Sandra & Michael Hughes of Lake City, FL, and Toni & Jeffrey Bennett of Blackshear; a step-daughter, Shandell (Greg) Allen of White Oak, GA; a step-son, Thomas (Holly) Crawford of Little Valley, NY; four sisters, Judy Futch of Jacksonville, FL, Pamela Raulerson of Waycross, Vickie Zufelt of Pacific Grove, CA, and Wanda Zufelt of Green Cove Springs, FL; 12 grandchildren, Kelly, Brooke, Rebekah, Zachary, Jacey, C. J., Tori, Matthew, Andrew, Stephen, Rebecca, and Melissa; numerous great grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
 
A memorial service for Mrs. Crawford will be held Tuesday evening, November 26, 2019, at 6:00 from the Pearson-Dial Chapel.
 
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
