Blackshear, Georgia

 

Mr. Everette Ivan Lee, 74 of Blackshear, passed away Sunday afternoon (July 25, 2010) at his residence following a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family.            

 

A native of Patterson, Mr. Lee had lived in Biloxi, Mississippi before moving back to Pierce County in 1981. He was the former owner of Vasco package store and had worked in the Insurance business for many years. Mr. Lee was a retired Major from the United States Air Force and was of the Baptist faith. He was a son of the late James Earic & Nancy Ether O’Quinn Lee.

 

In addition to his parents, Mr. Lee was also preceded in death by two sons, Michael C. Lee and Derek Wescott; a sister, Lottie Howell; three brothers, Leaster Lee, W. Emory Lee and J.P. Lee.

 

Survivors include his wife, Deborah Littlefield Lee of Blackshear; a daughter, Robynn Denison (husband Drew) of Blackshear; three sons, James Lee (wife Cindy) of Jackson, Miss., Steve Lee (wife Peggy) of Clinton, Miss. and Roger Wescott (wife Joy) of Blackshear; four sisters, Jeanie Haynes of Waycross, Inez L. Riggins of Blackshear, Marlene Harris (husband Sammy) of Blackshear, Amy Holland (husband Marcus) of Richmond Hill; nine grandchildren, Ashley Johnson, Joshua Lee, Anna Lee, Rebecca Lee, Alex Wescott, Corrie Lee, Gracie Lee, Jacob Johnson and Cason Denison; two great grandchildren, Gage Johnson and Gabbie Johnson; several nieces, nephews and numerous other relatives.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Satilla – 317 Plant Avenue – Waycross, Georgia 31501.



Visitation:

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o’clock Monday evening (July 26, 2010) at the funeral home.



Service:

Funeral services for Mr. Lee will be held at 11:00 o’clock Tuesday morning (July 27, 2010) from the chapel of Pearson-Dial Funeral Home.



Cemetery:

Interment will be in the Blackshear City Cemetery.
