Name: Linda Lee Crews Jeffords Dates: Birth date: March 27, 1943 Death date: July 10, 2010 Obituary: Mrs. Linda Lee Crews Jeffords, 67 of Blackshear, passed away early Saturday morning (July 10, 2010) at the Satilla Regional Medical Center.
Born in Waycross, GA on March 27, 1943, she had lived in Ware County for most of her life before moving to Pierce County in 1998. Mrs. Jeffords was a housewife and was a member of Blackshear First Baptist Church where she had been in the Adult Choir. She had always loved her church family and so enjoyed being a part of the choir. Mrs. Jeffords was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and was a daughter of the late Ethridge & Hattie Judie Stribbling Crews. She was also preceded in death by all three of her brothers, Robert Hugh Crews, Billy C. Crews and Larry Crews.
Survivors are her loving husband, Stephen Tracy Jeffords, Sr. of Blackshear; a daughter and son-in-law, Cindy & Bruce Callahan of Blackshear; a son and daughter-in-law, Steve, Jr. & Tammy Jeffords of Blackshear; a sister and brother-in-law, Joyce & Stanley Sloan of Waycross; a sister-in-law, Bert Crews of Waycross; 5 grandchildren, Audrey Laine Jeffords, Courtney Callahan, Grace Jeffords, Ryan Callahan and Stephen Jeffords, III and several nieces, nephews & other relatives.
Memorials: Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, PO Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011. Visitation: Visitation for Mrs. Jeffords will be held Monday evening from 6 until 8 at the funeral home. Service: Funeral services for Mrs. Jeffords will be held at 10:00 o’clock Tuesday morning (July 13, 2010) at the Blackshear First Baptist Church. Cemetery: Interment will be in the Kettle Creek Cemetery. |
