Name: Charles Christopher "Chris" Howell Dates: Birth date: February 04, 1967 Death date: February 27, 2010 Obituary: Mr. Charles Christopher “Chris” Howell, 43, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2010, at the Satilla Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness.
Born in Ware County on February 4, 1967, Mr. Howell had lived in Pierce County while growing up then moved to Texas where he had lived for several years before moving back to Pierce County in 2008. Mr. Howell had worked for Pic-N-Save in Waycross as a teenager and was a US Army veteran. He received an associates degree from Trinity Valley College and was involved in the Horizon Christian Inter-Faith Ministry. He loved drafting, woodworking and design work and was a member of St. Johns United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his parents, Charles & Jeanette Vanzant Howell of Blackshear; a sister and brother-in-law, Debra & Frank Boyd of McKinney, TX; a brother & sister-in-law, Richard & Natalie Howell of Gainesville, GA; three nieces, Lauren Priest, Cassidy Howell and Lily Howell; three nephews, Carter Howell, Landon Howell and Tyler Boyd and several other relatives and friends.
Memorials: Memorial contributions may be made to St. Johns United Methodist Church, 6618 Glory Lane, Blackshear, GA 31516. Visitation: Visitation for Mr. Howell will be held Tuesday evening from 6 until 9 at the funeral home.
Service: Funeral services for Mr. Howell will be held at 1:30 Wednesday afternoon (March 3, 2010) at St. Johns United Methodist Church.
Mr. Howell will lay in state at the church one hour prior to the service. Cemetery: Interment will be in the St. Johns Cemetery. |
