Name: Davis Amos Spell Dates: Birth date: July 10, 1956 Death date: February 05, 2010 Obituary: Davis "Famous" Amos Spell passed away Friday, February 5, 2010, after an extended illness at Satilla Regional Medical Center. He was born to the late Amos Spell and Dorothy Spell Corbett. He was of the Church of God faith. He is survived by his step-father, D.J. Corbett; one daughter, Tonya Davis (husband Joe) of Dadesville, AL; a grand-daughter, Kelly Davis, of Dadesville, AL; two sisters, Frances Reeves (husband Dale), and Linda Dean (the late Dennis, Sr.); four nieces, Anita Johns (husband James), Denise Gray (husband Daniel), Danielle Sapp (husband Roy), Melinda Dean; three nephews, Dennis Dean, Jr. (wife Christina), Carl West (wife Samantha), Jay West; a lifelong friend and brother-at-heart, Edward Crawford; numerous great-nieces and nephews. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his name to the local Empty Stocking Fund, c/o Waycross Journal-Herald, P.O. Box 219, Waycross, GA 31502. Service: A memorial service will be held from the Hebardville Baptist Church on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 3:00 p.m., with the Rev. Will Jacobs and Brother Tom Sweat officiating. Pearson-Dial Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Cemetery: Memorialization is by cremation. |
