Ms. Virginia Sue Goldman Atansay, 58 of Patterson, passed away Monday, February 8, 2010, at the Memorial Medical Center in Savannah following a sudden illness.
Born in Brooklyn, NY on June 23, 1951, Ms. Atansay had lived there for many years before moving to Pierce County several years ago. She had worked as a data entry clerk for American Express for many years and attended the Gates of Joy Christian Fellowship Church. Ms. Atansay was a daughter of the late George Gilbert & Mary Marthers Goldman and was also preceded in death by her sister, Julie Rushing. Ms. Atansay had a great sense of humor and big heart and always had kind thought about people.
Survivors include her son, George Atansay of Patterson; a brother, Stuart Goldman of Binghamton, NY; three nieces, Georgina Newman of Binghamton, Claudia Canestra of Raeford, NC and Denise & Ben Hackett of Patterson; a nephew, Lester Davis, Jr. of Savannah and several great nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Service: The family will have a memorial service for Ms. Atansay at a later date. Cemetery: Memorialization will be by cremation. |
