Name: Jeffery Lynn "Jeff" Morgan Dates: Birth date: November 18, 1962 Death date: February 07, 2010 Obituary: Mr. Jeffery Lynn “Jeff” Morgan, 47 of Waycross, passed away Sunday evening, February 7, 2010, at his residence following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Ware County on November 18, 1962, Mr. Morgan had lived here for most of his life. He was a truck driver with Mail Contractors of America and was a member of Astoria Baptist Church. Jeff never met a stranger and was always willing to do for others. He lifted up many with his encouraging personality and will be remembered as a husband and father that loved his family very much. He was the son of the late J.P & Lorena Morgan.
Survivors include his wife, Lisa Lawson Morgan of Waycross; three daughters and a son-in-law, Amy Lynn & Chris Carter of Atkinson and Amery Morgan and Ashlynn Morgan both of Waycross; 2 grandchildren, Kara Lynn Carter and Cohen James Carter; his father and mother-in-law, Earl & Dora Lawson of Blackshear; a brother and sister-in-law, Earl, Jr. & Nicole Lawson of South Point, OH and several nieces, nephews & other relatives.
Visitation: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
The family will also be receiving friends at the residence, 1430 Will Cox Road, Waycross. Service: A memorial service for Mr. Morgan will be held at 11:00 Thursday morning (February 11, 2010) at the Astoria Baptist Church. Cemetery: Memorialization will be by cremation. |
