Name: Uldine Mae Stowers Rowell Dates: Birth date: April 05, 1925 Death date: January 14, 2010 Obituary: Mrs. Uldine Mae Stowers Rowell, 84 of Brunswick, died from an extended illness on Thursday evening, January 14, 2010, in Augusta.
Born in Montcalm, West Virginia on April 5, 1925, Mrs. Rowell had lived in Glynn County for many years. She was a homemaker and was a member of Northside Baptist Church. Mrs. Rowell was a former member of Morningside Baptist Church where she had held many offices and was a member of the Fancy Bluff Homemakers Club. She was a daughter of the late Zackie & Stella Davidson Stowers of Montcalm, WVA and was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Rowell, Jr.; and a brother, Emory Stowers .
Survivors include a sister, Lorene Beggs Black of Lexington, NC; four children, Carolyn (Bill) Haigler of Loris, SC and Johnnie D. Rowell, Stella Luciene Jowers and Zackie Kelvin Rowell all of Augusta; 9 grandchildren, John & Mark Hofilena, Cayetana Garduce, John, James and Jesse Rowell, Jessica Rowell Chancellor, Joshua and Kollin Rowell; 13 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews & other relatives.
Visitation: Visitation for Mrs. Rowell will be held from 12 until 1 pm at the church on Monday.
The family will also be receiving friends and family at the home of Jessica & Michael Chancellor – 3305 Jekyll Avenue, Brunswick, GA 31520. Service: Funeral services for Mrs. Rowell will be held on Monday, January 18, 2010, at 1:00 o’clock from the Northside Baptist Church. Cemetery: Interment will be in the Rob Lewis Cemetery in Brantley County at 2:30 on Monday. |
