Name: Arrie Rozella Williams Anderson Dates: Birth date: January 8, 1928 Death date: June 14, 2012 Obituary: Mrs. Arrie Rozella Williams Anderson, 84 of Blackshear, passed away Thursday afternoon, June 14, 2012, at Baptist Village Nursing Home.
Born in Blackshear, GA on January 8, 1928, she had lived in Pierce County all of her life. Mrs. Anderson was a homemaker and was well known for crocheting Christmas ornaments, baby booties and baby bibs. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she was in the Alert Sunday School class and was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Anderson was a daughter of the late Nathan & Minnie Louise Watson Williams. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Lee Anderson, Sr.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Sue & Steve Strickland of Waycross and Nancy & Steve Weinzettel of Marietta, GA; three sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie & Renate Anderson, Lee & Diane Anderson and Jack & Geri Anderson all of Waycross; five sisters, Velma Williams, Margaret (Clinton) Godwin, L’Lene (Elmore) Deal and Katherine Bohannon all of Blackshear and Joyce Hyers of Brunswick; a brother, Ezra (Frances) Williams of Blackshear; 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews & other relatives.
Memorials: Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 670 Main Street, Blackshear, GA 31516 or to the Georgia Baptist Children’s Home at www.gbchfm.org. Visitation:Visitation for Mrs. Anderson will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Service: Funeral services for Mrs. Anderson will be held at 3:00 o’clock Sunday afternoon, June 17, 2012, at the Pearson-Dial Chapel. Cemetery:Interment will be in the Blackshear Cemetery. |
