Mr. Warren Joseph “Joe” Moody, 61 of Baxley, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2012, at his residence following a sudden illness.

Born in Tampa, Florida on December 10, 1950, he had lived in Baxley most of his life.  He was a heat/ac repairman and loved to fish.  Mr. Moody was a member of Spring Branch Baptist Church and will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather. 

Mr. Moody was a son of the late Warren George & Mildred White Moody.  He was also preceded in death by a grandson, John Ethan Carter.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Lonna Mechelle & Randy Carter of Lake Park, GA and Bobbie Jo “B.J.” & Bronze Kimbrell of Patterson; a son and daughter-in-law, Warren Joseph, Jr. & Angela Moody of Statenville, GA; his sister, Debra Ann Moody (and her daughter, Zandra Melissa Martin) of Columbia, SC; five grandchildren, Jessica Grace Henderson, John Cody “Cody Man Dingo” Fennell, Amanda Jo “Knucklehead” White, Lonna Shyanne Carter and Miranda Raine Carter; his great granddaughter, Riley Blake “Riley Bug” Fennell, and several other relatives and friends.
